Bonn - Morocco has all the assets to ensure the success of the 22nd session of the United Nations Framework Climate Change Conference (COP22), which will be held on November 7-18 in Marrakech, COP22 Commissioner Abdeladim Lhafi said Tuesday.
Morocco, which has proven experience in organizing international events, is mobilized not only to host the event, but to contribute to the achievement of the goals endorsed by the international community on climate change, Lhafi, who led a delegation of the COP22 steering committee on a working visit to Bonn, told MAP.
He stressed that "holding this global conference in an African country should result in major initiatives for the continent, which corresponds to the African depth of HM the King's policy towards southern countries"'.
Lhafi said that Morocco has a roadmap to meet all the conditions for the success of the conference, calling for the mobilization of all stakeholders (civil society, business, media, politicians, citizens) to ensure full success of COP 22, which is a universal challenge.
