Taroudant - A far-right Spanish group targeted a mosque in Madrid on Monday in a "protest" following the terrorist attacks in Brussels, which caused the deaths of 31 people and left over 200 people injured.
According to Spanish media, the far-right group Hogar Social Madrid (Madrid Social Home) lit flares and hung a sign asking "Today Brussels, tomorrow Madrid?"
The far-right group posted on its Facebook page photos of the mosque in a blaze. The mosque, which is regarded as the major place of worship in Madrid, is often referred to as the M-30 mosque.

According to Spanish news agency Europa Press, the event was directed "against radical Islam."
The mayor of Madrid condemned the Islamophobic attack, stating "We are fighting together against terrorism."
City officials believe that peaceful "coexistence" of representatives of all religions is essential for "the safety of the city."
In a statement published by The Local, the imam of the M-30 mosque Hussam Khoja condemned the reactions of extremists who tried “to attack our great mosque and cause damage to it."
The imam called on the public to condemn this event and all other extremist acts, reactions or prejudices against religion.
In the same statement, Khoja condemned the terrorist bombings that targeted Brussels, saying “What happened in Brussels on March 22nd is unacceptable. Nor is it accepted within our logic or religion to commit such nefarious attacks."
The imam added that the Madrid mosque "emphatically" condemned the attacks, and "all Muslims around the world have condemned this terrible event that took the lives of the innocent."

According to El Mundo, the National Police are investigating the attack which targeted Madrid’s most important mosque.
